I am a current student at the University of St. Thomas studying economics.  I initially began my college career as an Exercise Science major, but after quickly realizing chemistry was not for me, I found a subject area that really interested me- economics! I loved how I was able to make so many connections between my economics classes and the real world. Economics is so intriguing to me because it really explains how the world works and simply, why things are the way they are.

After hearing so many of my friends and fellow classmates complaining about their economics classes, I wanted to shed some light on the benefits of studying economics and the importance of understanding it. In this blog, I strive to find relevant and interesting events that are impacting our world and deal with economic concepts. I'd love to show you how economics factors into topics such as food, politics, pop culture and more!
